Return to medieval times and discover the fortified towns of Hum, famous for being the world’s smallest town, and Motovun where the largest white truffle was found. Visit Opatija, Croatia’s first true resort town.
Depart in the morning towards Hum, officially the smallest town in the world. With only 18 houses, surrounded by walls and gates, guarding the ancient Croatian secrets, this little place preserves the medieval atmosphere.
Afterwards, head to Motovun, the most famous medieval town in Istria region. It is a fortified town on the top of the mountain, overlooking the splendid Mirna River Valley. If you want, you can enjoy a local dish in the restaurant where the replica of largest white truffle in the world (certified by Guinness) is exposed.
Our last stop will be at Opatija, Croatia’s first true resort town famous for its grand neo-baroque and rustic Italian-style, villas on every side, a multi-cultural collage of pink walls, fluted columns, fading red tiles, grand staircases, and tiny balconies facing the sea.
